Fit for the future with control station and scanner

The employees of the DEG Dach-Fassade-Holz eG branch in Meschede have been using the new warehouse management system (WMS) for a few weeks now. "By connecting the Meschede site to the WANKO tour and warehouse management system, we have taken a major and significant step towards digitizing our logistics structures," explains Michael Brunschön, overall head of logistics.

The DEG Dach-Fassade-Holz eG cooperative was founded back in 1947 and now has over 600 employees at 22 locations. The system rollout to various locations now starts with the Meschede site.

"In cooperation with our partner WANKO, we succeeded in incorporating site-specific needs into the solution without moving too far away from the standard software," explains Marco Haselkamp. This shows the flexibility of WANKO in project management as well as the quality of the product.

The positive feedback from the Meschede branch is already encouraging us to have taken the right path. We now receive much more information and have no loss of speed," says a pleased Uwe Röhrich, branch manager at the Meschede site.

"Intuitive user-friendliness for fast and consistent processing of customer orders in the system as well as transparency for our employees are our most important requirements. We will accompany the development of these processes in detail as a team in order to roll out a solid and value-added software tool," Michael Brunschön looks ahead.
